How it works
- Set your prayer times. Use your location, calculation method, and madhab to calculate accurate daily times.
- Choose your sound. Pick a built-in reciter or add a YouTube source, with an optional pre-adhan chime and fade-in.
- Play it where you need it. Use a browser, phone, TV, Raspberry Pi, Sonos speaker, or a spare phone connected to your receiver.

Is Calltoprayer free?
Yes. It's free for personal and household use. No credit card, no trials, no ads.
How are prayer times calculated?
We use the well-known adhan library with your chosen calculation method (MWL, ISNA, Egyptian, Umm al-Qura, etc.) and madhab. Times are based on your location, which you can set automatically or manually.
Can my whole family share one account?
Yes — that's the household model. Sign in with the same account on every device and your settings, reciter, and chime preferences sync within seconds.
Will it play when my computer is asleep?
No. The browser must be open. For an always-on setup, we recommend a Raspberry Pi or any old computer left running — see the Pi setup guide on the sign-in page.
Will there be a real iPhone / Android app?
Yes — the mobile companion app brings prayer times and native, on-device prayer notifications to iPhone and Android, synced with your household. You can also install the web app to your home screen.
Can I follow my mosque's Jama'ah / Iqama times?
Yes. Import your mosque's timetable and Calltoprayer shows Jama'ah / Iqama times alongside the calculated times — and with leave-now alerts it can tell you when to head out so you make the congregation on time.
Can I cast the adhan to my TV or use it as a wall display?
Both. Google Cast support sends the adhan to Chromecast, Google TV, and Cast-enabled speakers, and the wall display mode turns any screen into a full-screen prayer clock with a live countdown, Hijri date, and day-to-night scenery.
Can I play the adhan through my AV receiver or amplifier?
Yes — the simplest way is a spare phone or tablet plugged into the receiver's aux input with a 3.5mm cable. Keep the device plugged in and awake with the web app open, and the adhan plays through your home's central speakers five times a day.
